Lush Weekly: #10 Lush Relax Gift Box

Hi everyone,

It's February and I am still getting spoiled with birthday gifts! I recently went out with a good friend of mine, Amina from A Girl with a Camera, for sushi and some chill time at the V&A Waterfront. We also popped in at Lush because she wanted to get some goodies for herself and her mum and she surprised me with a gorgeous gift box that I kind of freaked out about when we were there.
What Lush has to say about this gift box:
Our most soothing, soporific and sumptuous range of bath and shower goodies… all for your enjoyment. Take a deep breath, breathe in, and out, get clean and get serene. We've included our A French Kiss bubble bar, for a beautiful, provençal lavender scented bath. The ever-popular Twilight shower gel is exclusively included in this gift as well – its malty, lavender-y fragrance will leave your body and brain calm, soothed and comforted. And last but not least, Ceridwen's Cauldron bath melt will soothe and soften your skin with mystic sandalwood oil, oats and wildflowers.

What The Jam Jar has to say about this gift box:
I absolutely love the look for this gift box. It reminds me of primary school because the print looks like it was made with blow pens. It's colourful and vibrant!

Twilight shower gel is not available in stores but it's exclusive to this box which is great because getting a bottle of Twilight shower gel from the Lush Kitchen would cost way more than this box.

This box is basically a perfect Lush bath because it consists of a bubble bar for lovely bubbles, a bath melt for nice soft and moisturising water and a shower gel that's filled with lavender goodness that will calm your body and mind and prepare you for bed.

I think this gift box is really worth it because it contains an exclusive product that is not available on the store shelves, it's only available in this gift box and when it's part of the Lush Kitchen menu.

I've used A French Kiss bubble bar before but I haven't used Ceridwen's Cauldron bath melt and I am actually really excited to use it. This 80g cocoa butter and walnut oil melt bath melt is big enough to use for two baths and it retails for R65.00, which is worth it.

I have mixed feelings about the A French Kiss bubble bar. I do like it but I don't. I love the scent but I dislike the fact that it's not as potent when you put it in the water. It's like the scent dies a little. The bubbles doesn't last that long if you don't use the entire bubble bar. It retails for R55.00 for 100g bubble bar.

This box contains:
A French Kiss Bubble Bar
Twilight Shower Gel 100g
Ceridwen's Cauldron Bath Melt
This gift box retails for R235.00.

Would I buy this gift box again?
Yes, just for the Twilight shower gel.

Until next time..
xx

Lush Weekly: #9 Lush South Africa Valentines 2015

Hi everyone,

So, Valentines Day is right around the corner and Lush just released their Valentines range for 2015. It's selling like hot cakes online and doing well in stores! To my girl lushies, I hope your man knows whats up ;)

Sweet dreams really do come true! Whether you’re a prince or a princess looking for your one true love, we’ve got an enticing selection of treats that will make you irresistible for when Cupid’s arrow finally strikes. Made with the freshest ingredients and alluring aromas, they’re sure to put you in the mood for love.                                                                                          *source
I have a mini haul for you guys. I will do a first look at these products from the collection. I managed to get everything except for The Kiss lip scrub and The Kiss lip gloss. Unfortunately, Lush South Africa did not stock The Kiss lip scrub and I'm not that keen on Lush lip gloss. I bought 4 products and my ever so kind sister bought me a gift box for my birthday :D
My siblings are great supporters of my Lush habit and I'm grateful for that lol.
#Blessed (lolz, whatever)  Moving along....
Lush Valentines 2015:
♡ Cupid's Love Soap
This unique soap has an uplifting, fruity fragrance. Bergamot and rosewood work together to create a rich scent, whilst fresh figs, passion fruit juice and soya yoghurt nourish and soften the skin.

I absolutely LOVE the Cupid's Love soap. It smells great and it lathers really great on the skin. I immediately smelt the passion fruit juice which smells amazing! It's actually really different to Lush scents which is actually refreshing. I love the prettiness of this soap and the fact that they shaped the bigger soap in a heart shape with a white arrow striking through it! Ugh! Cute!
♡ Heart Throb Bubbleroon | R54.50 / 100g
Take your skin to a veritable paradise, with beautiful essential oils and skin softening organic shea butter – sharing the same delicate and uplifting fragrance as our African Paradise body conditioner. This smushy little bubbleroon will turn your water a bright, passionate red, perfect for a little Valentine's tub lovin'.

This adorable red macaroon look-a-like has pretty gold lustres around it making it look like royalty! This bubble bar can be split into two halves to use on two separate baths. Scented with the subtle scent of Africa Paradise which sweet and spicy (more spicy in my opinion) this bubble bar is sure to leave you feeling relaxed and ready for a night out with your significant other (or with yourself. Doesn't matter).
♡ Lonely Heart Bubble Bar | R52.50 / 100g
The colour red is for passion...and is said to make your heart beat a little faster! This lovely bubble bar will turn your bath water a lascivious red, and scent it with lemongrass, bergamot, jasmine and ylang ylang. There's also a glimmer of golden lustre and plenty of cornflour to keep your skin soft.

I feel like I am always attracted to Lush products that contains bergamot! I feel almost sad for this bubble bar because of its name. Another gorgeous red bubble bar covered completely in pretty gold lustres, this bubble bar will definitely leave you with heart palpitations ;)
♡ Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar | R45.00 / 100g
A magical bath filled with beautiful neroli and lavender essential oils, colourful candy stars, sparkling lustre, rainbows and dreams.

I remember seeing this on Lush Japans site a whiiiile ago and I immediately fell inlove! When I saw little sneak peaks of the Valentines range online last year December, I was really excited to see that the Unicorn Horn would make an appearance in this years range but I was not sure if Lush South Africa would get it in stock but thank goodness they did! This bubble bar might smell a bit familiar if you got last years Christmas Hedgehog bubble bar as they share the same scent. Soft, subtle lavender scent. Yum! One thing I noticed about the different Lush ranges is that Lush usually duplicates the scents of existing permanent products for the new range. Which is great because you can experience the scent in different forms of Lush products (Looking at you Rose Jam).
♡ Prince Charming Shower Gel | R75.00 / 100g | R145.00 / 250g | R245.00 / 500g
With marshmallow root, Fair Trade vanilla and fresh pomegranate juice, Prince Charming will sweep you off your feet and carry you off into the sunset, leaving your skin silky soft and smelling lovely – the fragrance is made using a beautiful blend of grapefruit, sandalwood and geranium oils.

Ah, yes! Prince Charming is back for another year! This sweet smelling hot pink shower gel creates the perfect lather and will leave you smelling like a freshly picked grapefruit. Like I said previously, this scent smells a bit different once you actually use it. It's a lovely uplifting scent which I grew to like over the past year of using my bottle from last year. I remember this scent to linger on my skin long after my shower which is great!
♡ Love Locket Bath Bomb | R85.00 / 270g
When you crack open your Locket you will also find a smaller heart-shaped bath bomb hidden within, filled with agar hearts to create a romantic spectacle in the bath. Big enough for two baths, or why not really indulge yourself and put the whole thing in.

I really enjoyed last years Love Locket bath bomb! I split the bath bomb in 2 and I got a little surprise inside the bath bomb. One side of the Love Locket can be over enough for a luxurious bath. It turned the water a lovely shade of pink and has adorable heart confetti hidden inside the bath bomb. I was really excited to find out that the Love Locket is cheaper this year! Last year it was a hefty R95.00. However, I think it was totally worth it. The smell is very powdery and floraly but subtle.
♡ Floating Flower Bath Bomb | R45.50 / 100g
Relax, it’s nearly Valentine’s Day and this flower is sure to please! Gently place this multi-layered Bath Bomb in the water and watch as it floats and slowly fizzes away, releasing a sensual jasmine fragrance. Its vivid, colorful layers create a bouquet of pink, orange and green froth on the water, so get in and soak up all its goodness, and leave the tub feeling relaxed and smelling irresistible.

Floating Flower really grinds my gears because its so fragile! I was getting so upset while photographing this little bugger because with every touch it starts to mess but gosh, she is so worth it! If you are familiar with famous Lush scents, you will definitely think of the Lust scent (Flying Fox, Godiva, Yes Yes Yes, etc). It's not as strong as the other products which I like. I can't wait to pop this little bugger in the bath!
The Valentines range is available in stores and online. I really like this years collection but I am a bit disappointed that Lush did not stock certain products :(

What will you be getting this year? :)

Until next time..
